Data we collect

We collect account email, OAuth provider identity, login timestamps, subscription status and any historical trial timestamps, legal acceptance records, billing status, Stripe customer/subscription/invoice identifiers, support communications, first-touch/latest-touch attribution such as UTM parameters or referrer where measurement is allowed, and product-usage events.

We also collect technical records needed to operate and improve the service, maintain security, and diagnose support issues.

IP logging and abuse monitoring

We log signup IP addresses for fraud prevention and repeat-signup monitoring. We store the full IP in restricted server/admin records, store a deterministic hash for matching, and use masked IPs in admin warning emails. Repeat-IP warnings are informational and do not automatically block legitimate users.

Legal bases

We process account and billing data to perform the contract, legal acceptance and invoice records to meet legal obligations, repeat-signup monitoring and service-security records under legitimate interests, and optional analytics, advertising measurement, or marketing where consent or another lawful basis applies.

Processors and transfers

MacroPulse uses Supabase for authentication and customer records, Stripe for subscription billing and tax handling, Resend or Brevo for transactional email, optional analytics/ad-measurement providers such as Google, PostHog, and X Ads where enabled, and hosting/infrastructure providers including Vercel, Render, Cloudflare, and Supabase. International transfers are handled through provider safeguards where applicable.

Cookies and measurement

Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember legal acceptance, protect checkout, and store your privacy choice. Optional measurement helps us understand launch performance, ad effectiveness, and product usage. Optional measurement can include first-party attribution storage plus analytics or advertising tags from PostHog, Google, and X Ads. MacroPulse works if you choose essential cookies only, and you can change your choice from Cookie preferences in the footer.

Marketing communications

Service emails cover account, billing, support, security, and operational product notices. We do not use contact-form messages as a silent marketing sign-up. Where you opt in, MacroPulse may send market updates, product news, launch offers, and occasional clearly labelled sponsored content selected and sent by MacroPulse. We do not share your email address with sponsors unless you separately agree in a specific sponsor or partner flow. Marketing emails include a clear way to opt out.

Retention

Browser attribution storage expires after 180 days. Raw product and marketing events, account-linked attribution profiles, and IP event records are retained for no more than 12 months. Anonymous daily channel totals may be kept for longer trend comparison. Billing, tax, legal acceptance, and account records are retained for the periods needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. You may also complain to the ICO or another competent supervisory authority. Contact privacy@macropulse.org for privacy requests.
